*Print twice. Recommendation Forms should be accomplished by your previous Professor/ Program Adviser and by your immediate superior where you are presently working.

Graduate Program
Admissions Procedure

  1. Create a Miriam College account at the SOARS Website.
  2. Submit initial requirements: original and photocopy of transcript from school last attended and 2 pcs. 2” x 2” pictures
  3. Fill-out Application Form for Entrance Examinations
  4. Pay at the College Cashier (Testing Fee: PhP600.00) 
  5. Secure Exam Permit
  6. Take exams on exam date
  7. Results will be available one week after the exam date
  8. If applicant passes the exams, interview with the program chairperson and/or dean will be scheduled
  9. Submit the basic requirements before the interview:
  10. 2 Recommendation Forms
  11. Curriculum Vitae
  12. Original or Certified True Copy of Transcript of Records
  13. Honorable Dismissal (for transfer students) 
  14. Enrollment can be done on the same day if applicant passes the interview

Requirements:

  • Official Transcript of Records (original or certified true copy) confirming Bachelor’s degree (for Masters applicants), or Masters degree (for doctoral applicants) with a minimum average grade of 85% or its equivalent
  • Résumé/Curriculum Vitae
  • Two pieces 2” x 2” colored picture
  • Recommendation Letters (form to be provided by the Office)
  • Assessment Process
  • Honorable Dismissal (for applicants who enrolled for a masters degree in another college/university but did not finish the course)

Other Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree for Masters Program and an MA or Ph.D with a minimum average of B, 2.0 or 85 %
  2. At least 18 units of undergraduate subjects in Education or combined Education and Social/Behavioral Sciences (for Education Programs) 
  3. Should have taken the Graduate Level (CEM) test 
  4. For Masters Degree program , passed an interview with the Dean and/or Program Chairperson 
  5. For Doctoral Degree Program, panel interview headed by the Dean
 

Foreign Applicants:

For foreign applicants, the same steps as above are undertaken except that after the applicant passes the screening, s/he is required to submit additional documents before enrollment and pay an admission fee. Among the additional requirements are:
  • Authenticated birth certificate or passport
  • Four (4) copies of Authenticated and notarized affidavit of  support
  • Two (2) copies of Authenticated Transcript of Records (with translation if not in English)
  • Authenticated Diploma
  • Four (4) copies of Personal History Statement
  • Copy of English Proficiency Test (TOEFL/IELTS) score form or certificate of English proficiency
  • Student Visa
  • Submission of Commission on Higher Education (CHED) requirements (Please E-mail us for details)
