Selected HEU scholars attended the Philippine Scholars’ Convention for Leadership Excellence on February 3, 2017 at TUP Manila. The event, which carried the theme, “Inspiring Individuals, Transforming Community of Leaders through Education for Sustainable Development”, aimed to increase awareness on current scholarship opportunities here and abroad and to inspire young men and women to seek and accept leadership responsibilities as part of their contribution to social transformation.

The participants from Miriam College HEU were Clarisse Galit, 4th year BS Accountancy student and financial grantee; Daniella Sanuco, 2nd year, BS Accountancy student and merit scholar; Alissa Nepomuceno, 2nd year BA Psychology student and financial grantee; and Mignon Blythe Martinez, 3rd year BS Child Development and Education student and endowed scholar of Max’s Foundation Inc.

They were accompanied by Trisha Iris A. Barcenas of the HEU- Admissions Office.

Other participants include student leaders, young professionals, school administrators, scholarship coordinators from different colleges and universities and representatives from CHED, DSWD, Megawide Foundation, SGS Foundation, Charity First Foundation, Gokongwei Foundation, Erasmus +, and the Australian Embassy.
