Miriam College welcomes back 11 HEU students who participated in the Japanese Language and Culture Program 2016 held at Kobe College last October 24 to November 6, 2016.
With the aim to deepen mutual understanding between Japan and the Philippines, these HEU students participated in various opportunities that enriched their knowledge of Japanese language and culture, resulting in a healthy and dynamic interaction with Japanese students, now their new friends.
The Homestay Program, Kyoto Tour, and Hiroshima Tour were all memorable and great learning experiences for the participants. During the post activity evaluation, students expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to experience the uniqueness of Japanese culture and to revisit historical events that were made more meaningful by conversations with a real Hiroshima bombing survivor.
