Six Miriam College Higher Education Unit (HEU) students joined the Asian Youth Leaders Travel and Learning Camp (AYLTLC) held in Singapore last February 9 to 13, 2017. Each year, AYLTLC brings together student leaders worldwide to enhance their abilities in cross-cultural interaction and cooperation and further equip them to be effective leaders.

This year’s MC delegation included Micah Lava (I BS BAM), Danielle Mananghaya (III BA COM), Regina Marcelo (III BS CDE), Alexandra Martinez (III BA COM), Gabriella Mercado (III BA COM) and Trisha Marie Jao (IV BS PSY).

In addition to the leadership workshops, participants were able to understand Singapore’s multiracial, multilingual, and multicultural society from various perspectives. They now return to Miriam College with a deeper appreciation of an increasingly interconnected and interdependent world.
