Business Administration
The Business Administration program of Miriam College offers the
Bachelor of Science in Business Administration course with three
different majors:
1) Marketing Management
2) Financial and Investments Management, and
3) Electronic Business.
These courses aim to transform students into professional career
specialists and decision-makers in the corporate world of the new
millennium who are steeped in the principles of business as well
as in the Miriam core value of integrity, a convergence of knowledge
and character traits needed by the country.
Marketing Management students are made to focus their attention
on management principles and techniques and on the latest trends
in market research that accelerate organizational and product development.
Mastery in these techniques enables the student to be creative in
the design of market indicators and other instruments that aid production
and sales.
B.A. students majoring in Financial and Investments Management receive
a type of education that exposes them to the current realities in
the Philippine business environment. They are trained, theoretically
and hands-on, in accounting principles, financial systems, and investment
promotions, which enable them to fit snugly in the country’s fast-rising
industrial estates and in ace manufacturing and business enterprises.
The Electronic Business course is a cutting-edge program that is
responsive to the needs of the Philippine economy. Students
are given a strong background in business management while making
extensive use of computer technologies that are in step with global
practices. The curriculum is rooted on sound business transacting
that recognizes intellectual property rights and commercial laws,
thus turning out responsible business leaders.
