Entrepreneurship

The Entrepreneurship program aims to prepare students for a business career as entrepreneurs in any craft, trade, or industry that they may find lucrative and fulfilling to engage in. Emphasis is placed on small to medium enterprise development, the identification and prioritization of investment opportunities, and the harnessing of organizational skills needed for businesses to take off and prosper.

The curriculum provides an integrated perspective of the functions of an enterprise, enabling the students to develop a pro-business orientation, self-confidence, and the basic management skills required in operating business. Students learn the fundamentals of business mathematics, enterprise planning and development, business operations and maintenance, marketing, financial management, business strategies and ethics, product design, international business, and information technology.

Interdisciplinary core subjects and hands-on applications complement these major courses. Students are also given options to minor in any of the following: Culinary Arts, Fashion Technology and Product Design Development. The program is geared towards developing creative people responsive to the needs of the industry and of the nation as a whole.
