Admissions Procedure

Policy

Miriam College High School admits students open to receiving a holistic Catholic education. To be admitted, an applicant must go through a screening procedure.

Qualifications

Incoming First Year. An applicant must be a graduate of either grade six or seven depending upon the terminal year of the school where she comes from.

Incoming Second Year. An applicant must have successfully passed her first year course or its equivalent.

Procedure

A. APPLICATION FORMS

1. To secure an application form, present one set of clear certified true copies of report cards of the last two grade levels the student attended and pay a non-refundable fee at the Cashier’s Office.
2. Application forms are available at the Administrative Manager’s Office from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Mondays thru Fridays starting the first working day of September.

B. SUBMISSION OF REQUIREMENTS

The following requirements must be submitted at least a week before the scheduled examination date:
 

   

a. fully accomplished application form
b. recommendation forms accomplished by the Homeroom Teacher and Guidance Counselor bearing the official seal of the school. (These forms must be sealed in an envelop with either the Principal or Registrar’s signature across the flap.)
c. original and photocopies of NSO authenticated birth certificate
d. original and photocopies of baptismal certificate
e. one set of certified true copies of report cards of the last two grade levels the student attended.
f. two pcs. 2"x2" ID pictures

C. ENTRANCE EXAMINATION

a. All applicants shall take the Entrance Examinations on the scheduled date.
b. Applicants must be in their assigned rooms thirty minutes (30) before the start of the examinations.

Interviews may be required in some special cases.

The Admissions Committee takes charge of screening all applications for admission to Miriam College High School. Applicants are accepted based on satisfactory fulfillment of all requirements according to the standards set forth by the school.
