The Maryknoll/Miriam alumni family is growing! More than 1000 graduates were welcomed to the fold this month by the Alumni Engagement Office and the Maryknoll/Miriam College Alumni Association. This year’s welcome featured a slight departure from those of previous years. In addition to the traditional induction ceremony, a more personal and interactive touch was introduced. As a way of generating perspectives from the newest members of the family, the graduates were asked how they felt about having been Miriam students and now as Miriam alumni. Among the 370 Middle School graduates, “God-fearing, faithful, and respectful” were the top answers. The large contingent of 609 High School graduates described themselves as “goal-oriented, socially conscious, and confident”. On the other hand, the Nuvali High School graduates thought Miriam taught them to be “responsible, independent, and determined.” In rounding up their Miriam experience, the 83 MAE students expressed their desire to continue having the school’s support as they venture into the workplace and to keep their connections with one another. This year’s batches also selected their respective class representatives who will be asked to act as Miriam’s and MMCAA’s links with their peers.
Welcome to the alumni community, Miriam Graduates of 2019!
