This year's homecoming preparations began with the first Jubilarians meeting held last February 15, 2020, Saturday, at the MC-Henry Sy Sr. Innovation Center.
MC alumni from different batches were warmly welcomed by the members of the Maryknoll Miriam College Alumni Association (MMCAA) Board represented by Vice Chairperson, Ella Ignacio Carlos (GS ‘78 HS ‘82) President, Dr. Gail Reyes Galang (GS ‘83, HS ‘87), VPs for Special Projects Mac Gepuela (GS '70, HS '74), Jek Nuñez (GS ‘83, HS ‘87), and PRO Valerie Baeyens (GS ‘91, HS ‘94).
The occasion gave the Jubilarians a chance to reconnect with MC and form new bonds of sisterhood with other batches. After pleasantries were made and a brief introduction was given by the current MMCAA Board of Trustees, the Silver Jubilarians, host batch HS 1995, revved up the afternoon by announcing the much anticipated homecoming theme, "MCitizen". The Homecoming queens explained that the Maryknoll/Miriam graduate is a modern Filipino who is a citizen of the world, hence the theme. Further exciting the Jubilarians were the proposed activities, such as honoring of teachers, the Nostalgia walk in the 19-hectare campus, and more.
After deadlines were announced, the role of the Alumni Engagement Office was discussed. The meeting ended on a high note with a class picture, which definitely uplifted the Jubilarians' school spirit. It was a day well spent by the MC alumni in their alma matter.
The MC Alumni Homecoming will be held on September 5, 2020, at the Marian Auditorium. For inquiries about the Homecoming, contact the MMCAA Office at 89306272 local 1187.
