PIANO

The program is designed to teach the student keyboard proficiency and performance skills using varied repertoire form the Classical genre. Integrated in the program is the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music (ABRSM London) Curriculum where technical abilities, sight-reading skills and musicianship are examined every year for grade level promotions.

VOICE

The voice program teaches students proper breathing and vocal techniques to ensure good singing quality that befit their proper vocal range. Repertoire varies from Kundiman, to Classical, to Broadway and is an excellent course for people of all ages! ABRSM Voice Curriculum applies.

STRINGS

The strings program includes lessons in violin, cello and guitar. Students are given the background of the instrument where traditional methods and techniques are combined with other methods such as the Japanese tradition of Suzuki. As the student progresses to a higher level, they are integrated into the chamber music program where they learn not just the rudiments of playing with other musicians but to foster sensitivity and musicianship as well. ABRSM Curriculum in Strings applies.

WINDS

The courses offered in the winds program are the flute and the saxophone. As with the other instruments, students are taught basic skills in note-reading and blowing techniques that will have them playing soulful melodies in no time!

THEORY

Our theory program reinforces the individual lessons of each student enrolled. The Music and Movement class is designed for the very young student in the pre-school age up to the early Grade School years. Activities are centered around the learning of musical concepts through experience in dance, singing and playing of rhythm and melodic instruments.

The older theory students are confined in a classroom setting where they are taught the rudiments of music such as sightreading and solfeggio. ABRSM in Theory Curriculum applies.
