On July 27, 2019, the Miriam College Center for Peace Education (CPE), together with the Global Network of Women Peacebuilders (GNWP), and Balay Mindanaw Foundation, Inc. (BMF) organized a consultation meeting with the members of the media on how it can help raise society’s awareness on the importance of the meaningful participation of women in policy-decision making processes and in achieving inclusive and sustainable peace. Representatives from Rappler, The Guidon, Philippine Daily Inquirer, Philippine Star, ABS-CBN, International Association of Women in Radio and Television, Bulatlat and The Washington Post shared their perspectives on how women’s advocacy and work  in the context of the peace processes can be promoted in both mainstream and new media. The outputs from the meeting will inform the National Media Competition that GNWP, CPE, and BMF will launch this year.
