ADMISSIONS ASSOCIATE FOR RECRUITMENT | Higher Education Unit

The Higher Education Unit (HEU) Admissions Office seeks an Admissions Associate for Recruitment

The Admissions Associate for Recruitment reports directly to the HEU Admissions Officer. The duties and responsibilities of the Admissions Associate for Recruitment are as follows:

  • Assist the Admissions Officer in developing marketing campaigns to prospective students, parents, partners and stakeholders.
  • Market and present the courses offered by Miriam College, together with the Admissions Officer, to prospective students during Career Orientations. She is responsible in sending out letters or to touch base with Senior High Schools in order to attend High School Career Orientations.
  • Create marketing strategies, in coordination with the Admissions Officer and the Marketing and Communications Office, in promoting the programs of the different colleges. 
  • Conduct market research and analysis of the data in order to plan/ create marketing strategies for the following School Year. 
  • Respond to queries of possible applicants on a daily basis. 
  • Create the yearly Bulletin of Information and update the Bulletin Boards.
  • Perform other duties that may be assigned by the Admissions Officer.
  • The candidate should have completed a Bachelor’s degree preferably an alumna of Miriam College and must have three (3) years of relevant work experience, preferably in a higher education institution. 

Candidate should have an experience in information systems, with the ability to create presentations and analysis reports, manage multiple tasks, plan, and adopt to change. Must be keen to details, with excellent oral and written communication skills, positive disposition and proactive people skills.

GUIDANCE COUNSELOR | MC Nuvali

Miriam College Nuvali (MCN) seeks a Guidance Counselor

The Guidance Counselor reports directly to the Academic Support and Student Services Officer. The duties and responsibilities of the Guidance Counselor are as follows:

  • Handles individual and group counseling
  • Implements the guidance program of MCN
  • Facilitates monthly guidance student activity period
  • Makes necessary recommendations/ referrals of special counseling cases
  • Proposes and facilitates guidance activities based on students’ needs
  • Keeps and updates records of counseling, test results, and other confidential student files
  • Performs other duties as assigned by his/her immediate supervisor

The candidate should have completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and/or Master’s Degree in Guidance and Counseling. He or she must be a Registered Guidance Counselor or is currently working on taking licensure exam. 

Candidate should have at least 3 years work experience as a Guidance Counselor and must have the following competencies:

  • Extensive facilitating and counselling skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

The Innovation Center’s Technology Business Incubation seeks a Project Development Officer.

The Project Development Officer reports directly to the Technology Business Incubation (TBI) Manager. The duties and responsibilities of the Project Development Officer are as follows:

  • Provide technical assistance/support to the TBI Manager in the management of Miriam College-TBI Center; 
  • Ensure adherence DOST guidelines and other standards required for the program and project development; 
  • Assist in the coordination and collaboration with offices within and/or outside the center to ensure efficient, effective and timely delivery of services;
  • Monitor the performance, provide recommendations, and assist in carrying out action plans;
  • Contribute in policy review and development for the improvement of the strategies, systems, and processes;
  • Develop the necessary tools, forms, templates, etc. that can be used for project planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation;
  • Monitor the processing of IP applications of the Innovation and Techonology Support Officer; and 
  • Performs other tasks to the position that may be assigned to him/her by the TBI Manager

The candidate should have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or any related field of study and must have taken other relevant course and training for the following: technopreneurship, project management, marketing, planning, communication, creativity, and innovation.

Candidate should have at least six-months work experience related to marketing, project management and office administration and must have the following competencies:

The MC-HSSIC’s Technology Business Incubation seeks a Project Assistant.

The Project Assistant reports directly to the Technology Business Incubation (TBI) Manager. The duties and responsibilities of the Project Assistant are as follows:

  • Help facilitate communication across units/departments/offices; 
  • Serve as liaison between the manager/officer and stakeholders; 
  • Prepare and update timetable, progress reports, correspondence and schedules; 
  • Assist in preparing reports and data collection for analysis;  
  • Review and distribute project documents; 
  • Liaise for training and other events of the center; 
  • Maintain project records and ensure that all regulatory documents are correct, processed, and approved; and
  • Performs other tasks to the position that may be assigned to him/her by the TBI Manager

The candidate should have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or any related field of study.

Candidate should have at least six-months work experience related to marketing, project management and office administration and must have the following competencies:

  • Planning and organizing skills 
  • Technical research and writing
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English
