Biography

Donna Paz T. Reyes, Ph.D., is a professor and chair of the graduate program of the Department of Environment of Miriam College.

As former executive director of the Environmental Studies Institute of the school, she initiated and supervised field conservation projects in protected areas located in the Sierra Madre Mountains, including Biak-na-Bato National Park and Kaliwa Watershed.

Under her term, Miriam College became a Dark Green School and won the 2013 Search for Sustainable and Eco-friendly Schools.

She teaches natural resources management, environmental education, ecotourism, ecology, biology and zoology to undergraduate and graduate students.

Her dissertation at the RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia, was titled Towards a framework for enhancing protected area management through ecohistorical tourism, capacity-building and environmental education.
