Biography

Ms. Marquez-Fong has over 25 years of combined experience in teaching, editing, writing, consulting, and training in the areas of gender, gender language, language, research, development, communication, and marketing. She has helped several institutions in the education business, government and non-government organizations, private corporations and companies. Her engagement involved either as a faculty, resource person, trainer, consultant, research associate, or editor.

Ms. Fong is the Program Coordinator of WAGI’s Gender Fair Education Program and a faculty of the International Studies Department teaching Gender Language and Education and a constant panelist to theses defense of graduating International Studies students.

Subjects that she has taught include: Research Methods, Public Speaking, Composition Writing, Basic Research Writing, Gender Language and Education, and Global Communication.

She has edited several scholarly articles and journals and researches, namely: ARROW’s Thematic Papers on Food, Poverty and Security and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), WAGI Gender Fact Sheets, WAGI Brochure, Child Rights Situation Report 2013, LEAP Journal (Faculty Research Journal of Miriam College), Quilted Sightings (WAGI Journal), Accounting for Gender Results: A Review of the Philippine GAD Budget Policy, DAWN Informs, Pamayanan (EIC), Beijing Platform for Action (Monograph of Dr. Patricia Licuanan, currently the Commissioner of Commission of Higher Education), Political Restructuring and Social Transformation: Critical Feminist Essays in Southeast Asia, She has co-authored several textbooks like, E-11 Exposition and Breakthrough, a Speech book for college students.
