MESSAGE FROM THE COORDINATOR

Dear Friends,

You have entered the website of the UNESCO Women’s Studies and Gender Research (WS/GR) Network whose secretariat is based at Miriam College in the Philippines - welcome!

We are an emerging network of formal women’s studies programs and research institutes that is linked with the UNESCO Social and Human Sciences (SHS) Sector. This website is constructed to facilitate information sharing between us and the larger environment of women’s studies practitioners and gender researchers globally. Here you will find information on who we are, what we do and what our activities are. It also gives you access to publications and other resources.

We are hoping to see many old and potential new members at the UNESCO Women’s Studies and Gender Research Networking Conference that will take place on 9-13 February 2009 in Bangkok, Thailand. We have an exciting program shaping up and for this thank the constant support of network members and the UNESCO-SHS offices in Paris and Bangkok.
