Miriam College is a premier women’s Catholic educational institution founded by the Maryknoll Sisters of New York in 1926. Its growing MC Nuvali branch in the province of Laguna currently offers basic education to boys and girls while its third campus in Porac, Pampanga is underway.

Across all units, the school continues to uphold excellent educational standards through regular curriculum and program enhancement, formation of strategic international and local links, maintenance of a competent faculty base, and intensified teaching and learning in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) to prepare students, especially girls and young women, in these fields of the future. Alongside these, the institution supports specialized centers engaged in research, community outreach, and advocacy to develop competent and principled students. It is in this context that Miriam College fulfills its role in the formation of “Women Leaders in Service”.

  • SPIRITUALITY

Accompanied by Mary, the Christ bearer, our Miriam spirituality leads us to follow Jesus who brings us in the Spirit to God. Jesus’ greatest disciple and follower is Mary, His mother and ours. Miriam spirituality is Christ-centered, Catholic, Lay, Missionary, and Filipino, embodying the Gospel values of truth, justice, peace and integrity of creation. Inspired by the Maryknoll legacy, rooted in the person of Jesus Christ, and lived by Miriam of Nazareth, Miriam Spirituality empowers our community to lead in mission, communion, and service.

Miriam College was cited as a “Dark Green School” by the Philippine Network of Educators on Environment (PNEE) in 2009. We implement eco-friendly policies in academics and in areas such as administration, outreach, campus planning, and solid waste management.

  • LOCATION

We are located along Katipunan Avenue in Diliman, Quezon City, our home since 1953. We are neighbors with two top universities of which we keep strong ties with. • CAMPUS

At the heart of our Quezon City campus is a 2-hectare green space we call Mini-Forest park. In our campus in NUVALI, we allocate 50% of the land as green open spaces. Aside from preserving the flora and fauna biodiversity in our campuses, these areas serve as a model for living in perfect harmony and coexistence with nature.

  • SAFETY

Miriam College has a plan in place to mitigate major emergencies and disasters affecting the campus, including earthquakes, fires or explosions, medical emergencies and more. Our security department works 24/7 to ensure the safety of everyone within the campus

Miriam College has molded students for over 90 years in the tradition of academic excellence and service to God, the community, and nation. We are proud of having developed competent, well-rounded, principled individuals who possess a clear understanding of the socio-political issues of the times, who are motivated to participate in nation-building, and who are equipped with a solid cultural foundation. It is in this context that we seek to find our niche in the formation of Women Leaders in Service.
