Delegates from the China Center for International Educational Exchange (CCIEE) met with Miriam College administrators last March 20 to present their proposed academic exchange program with the school. CCIEE expressed interest to promote MC’s course offering in China as well as to encourage Chinese nationals to study in Miriam College. They also proposed a possible exchange program for High School students.

WAGI hosted a small salo-salo last March 16 to launch its  annual journal, Quilted Sightings. This interdisciplinary journal reflects Miriam College’s commitment to the advancement of women’s studies and promotion of gender-fair education in the Philippines. The journal features articles that address contemporary dynamics of patriarchy and how it is aggravated by economic globalization, neo-conservative backlash, and the rise of militarism in the Asia Pacific region.

Eleven year old Yobel Chryselle C. Bautista (left photo, 2nd from left) was the youngest participant in the Hope for the Hopeful Children Project of the Ship for Southeast Asian Youth Program (SSEAYP) Alumni Association held in Chonburi province in Thailand last March 23-27. 

The College of Business, Entrepreneurship and Accountancy (CBEA) honored 43 graduating students for their academic, co-curricular and extra-curricular feats since their first year at the CBEA Student Achievement Awards held at the Marian Auditorium last March 17.
