The Alumni Blog

SNAPSHOTS OF OUR ALUMNI VOICES

The life journeys of our alumni are distinct and multi-colored adventures. They ran the full gamut of emotions; they are splashed with laughter, nostalgia, sorrow.  But our life adventures have something in common -- they are stepping stones of reflection and to further learning.
That is why I would like to introduce this blog section as a new feature in our webpage – to give space to your voices capturing moments that have become embedded in memories and in writings.

We invite all alumni to join the MC alumni family of bloggers. We would love to receive pieces that generally talk about our life experiences -- that may inspire, that we can learn from, or that we may just be curious about. We just ask that you keep it to 300 words accompanied by a photo or two.

It’s a way of reaching out across classes and finding cross-generational commonalities. It also shows the richness of life and how much we Maryknoll/Miriam alumni have to be grateful for.

We’re kicking off our blog section with two entries from our young alumni: Sophia Dianne Garcia (GS 2007, HS 2011, Col 2015) who shares how she felt about making a statement at the UN Security Council and K. Tuban who talks about her unique experience in Iraq.

We hope more of our alumni will share snapshots of their wonderful life adventures!

Sincerely,

Aurorita M. Mendoza
