Please note: Vicki Conde Baltazar (A.B., Business Administration) was not able to join us because she attended her grandson's first communion in Northern California, but she was with us in spirit. Jojo Jose Kaufmann (A.B. Sociology) was also with us in spirit.
We’d like to send a big THANK YOU to all the attendees, who were so wonderful and welcoming. This reunion would not have been the success it was without you. (Wanna do it again in a couple of years? LOL) I can't thank the reunion planning committee members enough. They put so much of themselves into bringing the reunion to a successful fruition, not to mention their generous outpouring of talent, time, and their own out-of-pocket expenses for prizes, supplementary food, awards, and so much more! Thank you, too, for your patience with me.
We'd like to thank Vicki for her generous monetary contribution. We'd also like to thank Baybee Prieto, Susan Iseri, and Ann Onymous (anonymous) for their monetary contributions as well.
The reunion souvenir bags and scarves were from Fely. She bought them when she was in the Philippines and Sarah generously made space in her suitcase to bring them back to the United States.
The autograph books and "Our Daily Bread" pamphlets were from me. Ymbet added something very meaningful to her: a card with a devotion to the Divine Mercy. Later that afternoon, Ymber shared a personal testimony relating how Jesus fulfilled His promise of Mercy and Love poured out to her husband as the family repeatedly recited the chaplet during his passing on the eve of Easter 2018. She said the lines from the Miriam/Maryknoll College hymn, “witness to Christ throughout the land; children of Mary hand in hand” ringing in her ears weeks ago prompted her to share her experience with the class.
Annie Molina arranged for Miriam/Maryknoll College to give us Chi Rho pins, thanks to Rorit Mendoza.
Marite Soriano Dufour had some beautiful wine stoppers customized with the MC logo and reunion info made, which were given as loyalty awards to attendees who traveled all the way from Canada and the Philippines.
Sarah, June, and I donated many of the prizes, some of which were given to contest winners, while others were raffled off. Some of the prizes donated by June included a Coach purse, a Coach wallet, a Lilly Pulitzer necklace, and a Bebe gold cuff bracelet.
Angie Castillo Sevilla immediately put her prize (a Rellie Luciano tote bag, donated by Liz) to good use when she returned to Chicago.
Connie took care of our banner and souvenir t-shirts. We intentionally kept the reunion banner "generic" (no date, no location) so that it can be re-used for future reunions.
Connie also provided the sound system and photo booth-style photo frames, which everyone loved for their photo ops.

Sociology majors Daisy Soriano Martin and Liz M Lavaveshkul were photo edited on to the bridge of the starship Enterprise.
