100 YEARS!
YES, WE GO A LONG WAY BACK
We may be new in this part of the north but our roots run deep, nearly a hundred years back. Miriam College, formerly Maryknoll College, is a premier all-women’s college established in 1926 by the progressive and intrepid Maryknoll Sisters of Ossining, New York. As the institution approaches its centennial, it will celebrate its many milestones, starting with its first mission of putting up a teacher training school in Malabon that has initially graduated four teachers.
Today, Miriam College is known as an institution that has molded tens of thousands of “Leaders in Service,” its mission now expanding south and, very soon, north of Manila. This is another milestone, a most timely and welcome one, that brings the institution full circle when it celebrates its 100th year in 2026.
