When I was a little girl, I remember enjoying my pre-school days at the MC-Child Study Center (MC-CSC) because of the cozy pajama-like uniform, the tree house, and Learning Resource Center (LRC). Never did I imagine that Miriam College would be a great part of my life.  I was a student of the Miriam College from pre-school to college, spending two years in CSC, seven in Grade School, four in High School, and another four in college.  Miriam College truly became my second home.

My fondest memories of CSC would be the annual play and the LRC play room. I will never forget my role in the play, “Ang Munting Kaibigan sa Bituin.” I was a “kalaro,” a friend of the protagonist alien from outer space. I still remember how I sang and danced with gusto with my classmates on stage. That was the very first time that I got to perform in front of a crowd and actually used a microphone to say my lines. I never thought that I could pull off a stint like that without crying or bein...

I spent the best years of my life in the beautiful grounds of Maryknoll, which were so conducive to learning: wide open spaces, lush greenery, and clean, fresh air. Maryknoll was my second home, and my teachers and classmates were my extended family. The ties that bind us classmates are so strong because we literally grew up together and experienced all the growing pains and highs together.

CSC has left such wonderful memories that years after graduating from Kindergarten, I would still pass by whenever I felt stressed. CSC has always been my happy place and I love that I am now part of the place that taught me to have fun in everything that I do and to stay positive no matter how bad things get. I love that my school feels like home and how I never grow tired of being here.

CSC has been a wonderful second home to our children, Matteo and Martina. The school has nurtured and helped them grow in more ways than one. Each day spent within its four walls always brings them more awareness about God, more love for and consciousness about Mother Nature, stronger values, honed skills, newfound talents, a whole lot of friends, and of course, beautiful memories that they can always fondly look back on.
