March is Women’s Month! IS Forum on “Women’s Rights and Gender Equality in Contemporary World”
The forum is very timely not just because it is women’s month but because gender issues in the time of COVID-19 pandemic are very real to many women around the world - be it in the areas of health, education, digital divide or technology divide, economic opportunities, social and cultural aspects, gender-based violence and political participation, among others.

Examining Social Movement's Engagement with Other Actors
The Department of International Studies hosted a webinar “Examining Social Movement’s Engagement with Other Sectors” last February 23, 2021. The Miriam College Department of International Studies (MC-IS) has held another virtual Lecture Series with Regional Experts titled, “Transcending Regional Boundaries Across Virtual Realities” that commenced last February 12, 2021, with Dr. Baogang He, the Chair of the International Relations at Deakin University, Australia specializing in Chinese politics, Asian regionalism and Asian multiculturalism.
