The Center for Peace Education (CPE), in solidarity with the Global Week of Action Against Gun Violence recently organized events, and activities that educate and raise awareness on the issues of small arms proliferation and gun violence.

It also actively participated in a global initiative called Women’s March Against the Bomb, in support of negotiations for a treaty banning nuclear weapons.

In separate activities, CPE together with the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP) conducted various training workshops on nonviolence with different members of the academe, civil society, young people from various faiths and ethnic traditions, and with the new teachers of Miriam College-Nuvali Campus and Miriam College-Basic Education Unit throughout the months of May and June.
