he Global Network of Women Peacebuilders (GNWP) in partnership with the Miriam College Center for Peace Education (CPE) and Balay Mindanaw Foundation, Inc. (BMF) and supported by the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD) organized a two-day capacity building workshop and a two-day writeshop held at Cotabato City for the Municipality and Barangays of Aleosan, North Cotabato.

Miriam College Center for Peace Education (CPE), together with the Global Network of Women Peacebuilders (GNWP), and Balay Mindanaw Foundation, Inc. (BMF) organized a consultation meeting with the members of the media on how it can help raise society’s awareness on the importance of the meaningful participation of women in policy-decision making processes and in achieving inclusive and sustainable peace.

Sophia Dianne “Soda” C. Garcia (BA International Studies 2015) attended the High-Level Interactive Dialogues during the United Nations High-Level Meeting on Sustainable Peace at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, USA last April 24-26. The dialogues, organized by different UN Agencies, covered the topics Sustainable Financing for Peace; Strengthening the United Nations Work on Peacebuilding; Young Women and Peacebuilding; and Sustaining Peace in the Field.
