CLE High School Teacher (Miriam College Quezon City)

Qualifications for the Position: 

  • BS Education, Bachelor of Arts / Science in related fields of specialization (e.g., English, Math, Science, etc.) with 18 units in Education 

  • Proficient in English and Filipino 

  • Excellent communication skills 

  • Positive attitude towards work 

  • Computer literate 

  • Preferably with Teacher’s Licensure or scheduled to take the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET)

High School Librarian (Miriam College Quezon City)

Duties and Responsibilities: 

With regard to Organizational Relationship: 

  1. Report directly to the Library Media Center Supervisor. 

  2. Submit monthly accomplishment and quarterly evaluation reports to the LMC Supervisor. 

  3. Plan with the LMC Supervisor the direction of the HS library media programs and services that will facilitate the maximum use of print and non-print educational services in the unit. 

 

With regard to LMC resource management: 

  1. Maintain and update library collections.  

  2. Classify and catalog LMC materials using the Dewey Classification System. 

  3. Encode data in the Library Automation System. 

  1. Organize shelf list cards.  

  2. Monitor the arrangement of books in the shelves. 

  3. Conduct annual inventory of library/AV holdings.  

  4. Assist in the annual inventory of furniture and equipment. 

  5. Do the deselection of outdated books to keep the collection relevant. 

 

With regard to LMC services: 

  1. Conduct Library Media Instruction to students.  

  2. Conduct library/AV orientation to the students and faculty. 

  1. Guide the teachers and students in the use of library resources. 

  2. Facilitate current awareness services to the community through display of newly acquired resources, selective dissemination of information, exhibits, etc. 

  3. Deliver information services to its clientele in the forms of reference query and bibliographic verification. 

  4. Deliver readers’ advisory and user services in the forms of research assistance, term paper counseling, bibliotherapy. 

  5. Help maintain the discipline of students in the library. 

 

With regard to office procedures: 

  1. Substitute in another library/AV section during break or absence of the staff. 

  2. Prepare minutes of the meetings and other reports that may be assigned by the LMC Supervisor. 

  1. Support the library media center programs and services at all times  

  2. Substitute for the library media center supervisor when assigned to do so. 

 

Qualifications for the Position: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Library and Information Science 

  • Licensed librarian 

  • Knowledgeable experience as a school librarian. 

  • Knowledgeable in using library automation system 

  • Efficient organizational and management skills 

  • Good command of oral and written communication

​Technical Assistant (Miriam College Quezon City)

Duties and Responsibilities of the Technical Assistant: 

  • Assists the QA Officer, in the preparation of requirements for CHED and PAASCU and other accrediting bodies: 

    1. Preparation of required reports, data or materials for accreditation/evaluation/benchmarking activities  

    2. Gathering data, materials or documents from concerned offices/departments 

    1. Processing and organizing data and materials gathered. 

    2. Collates documents from concerned offices/units 

    3. Facilitates binding, submission and distribution of reports 

    4. Uploads soft copies in the OVPAA storage drive  

  • Provides secretarial support to the QA Officer 

    1. Prepares minutes of meetings  

    2. Receives incoming memos, documents, phone calls 

    3. Provides support for logistical requirements needed for QA-related activities 

  • Coordinates with staff, faculty, administrators in relation to requirements of QA-related activities. 

  • Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time.  

Qualifications for the Position of Technical Assistant:   

  • Bachelor’s degree with MA units, MIS, with experience in working in an educational institution, as well as doing technical and administrative duties.  

  • Highly motivated, with meticulous attention to detail 

  • Ability to adjust to changing environment 

  • Ability to learn and develop 

  • Commendable written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills 

  • Good organizational skills 

  • Has initiative and is resourceful

Programmer (Miriam College Quezon City)

Duties and Responsibilities of the System Programmer: 

  • Develop software applications and web-based internet and intranet sites of the school 

  • Debug, fix, maintain, troubleshoot, and refine programs developed based on testing results 

  • Write new program code, updates, and revisions using prescribed and approved specifications based on approved system requests (SR), utilizing the appropriate hardware, database, and programming technologies 

  • Develop interface programs for various application software and databases in the school 

  • Conduct user training of application systems 

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned. 

Qualifications for the Position of System Programmer: 

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer Engineering courses with minimum three (3) years experience in software and web development, programming methodologies, design, and implementation.   

  • Knowledgeable in the use of ASP.net, C#, Java, HTML, PHP, SQL, XML, Crystal reports, relational databases and internet architectures, with strong object-oriented/based programming skills 

  • High level of analytical and software design skills for software and web development and technical specifications.

Project-Based Project Officer (Miriam College Quezon City)

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning and Initiation:

  • Assist in defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to gather requirements and expectations.
  • Contribute to the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets.

2. Coordination and Communication:

  • Facilitate communication among project team members, stakeholders, and partners.
  • Organize and conduct project meetings, including agenda preparation and documentation of meeting minutes.
  • Ensure effective collaboration and information sharing among team members.

3. Task Management:

  • Assign tasks to team members and monitor progress to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Identify and address any issues that may hinder project progress.
  • Regularly update project documentation, including task lists, timelines, and status reports.

4. Budget and Resource Management:

  • Assist in tracking project expenses and ensuring adherence to budget constraints.
  • Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.

5. Risk Management:

  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and address any emerging risks that could impact project outcomes.

6. Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure that project deliverables meet established quality standards and requirements.
  • Conduct reviews and quality checks to verify the accuracy and completeness of work.

7. Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare regular project status reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and progress reports.

8. Change Management:

  • Assist in managing changes to project scope, schedule, and requirements.
  • Evaluate the potential impact of change requests and work with relevant parties to implement approved changes.

9. Monitoring and Evaluation:

  • Monitor project performance against established metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Collect and analyze data to assess project outcomes and identify areas for improvement.

10. Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Foster positive relationships with project stakeholders and keep them informed about project progress.
  • Address any concerns or queries raised by stakeholders in a timely manner.

11. Continuous Improvement:

  • Participate in post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and areas for process improvement.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices and standardized project management procedures.

Qualifications:

- Graduate of any four-year business/management degree

- At least 2 years of work experience as a Project Management Officer or similar role.

- Strong leadership skills.

- Good written and verbal communication skills.

- Strong attention to detail and technicalities.

- Excellent organizational and technical abilities.

- Good interpersonal and multi-tasking skills.

 

STATUS: Project-based

DURATION OF PROJECT ENGAGEMENT: September 1, 2023 – August 31, 2024, renewable for one more year (until August 31, 2025)

WORK SCHEDULE: 8 working hours daily (flexible working hours upon discussions with the supervisor)
