Global Affairs and Diplomacy major in Humanitarian Diplomacy

The program covers critical thinking and analysis of the methods, challenges, and implementation of humanitarian diplomacy. This is primarily concerned with understanding of contemporary issues, operations and practices, roles and responsibilities of main actors in the field of humanitarian work, and how human rights and international humanitarian law can influence negotiation outcomes and processes. This course will also include key subjects on vulnerable population including refugees and displaced population; gender, peace and social work.
