Group Exercise Classes

 

Our Group Exercise Classes is one of our most successful programs as it allows the community to bond and give each other support as they sweat it out in our challenging but fun offerings which includes Zumba, High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), and Yoga, among others.

High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT)

 

HIIT is a training technique in which you give all-out, one hundred percent effort through quick, intense bursts of exercise, followed by short, sometimes active, recovery periods. This type of training gets and keeps your heart rate up and burns more fat in less time.

Yoga

 

Yoga is a form of physical exercise based upon asanas (physical poses) that promotes health and well-being through the regular practice of a range of many different techniques, including postures and movement, breath awareness and breathing exercises, relaxation and concentration, self-inquiry and meditation.

At the ILAW Center, we hold Ashtanga Yoga and Hatha Yoga classes.

Zumba

 

Zumba is a fitness program that combines Latin and international music with dance moves. Zumba routines incorporate interval training — alternating fast and slow rhythms — and resistance training.

Zumba involves dance and aerobic movements performed to energetic music. The choreography incorporates hip-hop, soca, samba, salsa, merengue and mambo. Squats and lunges are also included.

Group exercises do not only offer benefits of good cardiovascular functioning and weight control, among others, but they also promote interaction with other participants? Many individuals who take group exercise classes stick to their program because of the group environment. They support and motivate one another.

 

 

HIIT, Yoga, and Zumba classes are open to the public.
