Miriam College High School (MCHS) Glee Club moderator Nancy Roman was the sole Asian in the five-member jury at the 8th Musica Eterna Roma Choral Competition held at the Basilica dei Santi XII Apostoli in Rome, Italy from July 5 - 9, 2017. This is the first time that Roman was invited to become a member of a jury for an international competition. The other members were Fabrizio Barchi (Italy), Kinga Litowska (Poland), Mauro Marchetti (Italy), and Javier Busto (Spain).

In July 2016, Roman was also in Rome as moderator and conductor of the 45-member MCHS Glee Club that competed in the 7th Musica Eterna a Roma Choral Competition. The group brought home the Diploma d’Oro Level III in the Youth Choirs of Equal Voices category and the Diploma d’Oro Level II in the Sacred Music Female Choir category.
