MCMS participates in annual Asian-Pacific Children’s Convention in Fukuoka

Last July 1, 2017, the Middle School sent off Bianca Francesca S. Gabriel of 7-Tecson as this year’s Miriam College delegate to the Asian-Pacific Children’s Convention (APCC) in Fukuoka, Japan. The APCC was created as a commemorative event of the 1989 Asian-Pacific Exposition, in celebration of Fukuoka City’s 100th anniversary.

Every year, this civic movement sends 11-year-old children from all Asia-Pacific countries to give them the opportunity to experience family life in Japan through homestay, and to introduce traditions from their home country to other participants and the people of Fukuoka. The delegates will stay in Fukuoka for 12 days. During the send-off and culminating activity.

Bianca and the other delegates showcased cultural and modern Philippine dances, which they will also perform in Fukuoka.
