MCHS, MCN students learn Japanese culture, history, and language

Fourteen Miriam College High School (MCHS) and two MC Nuvali (MCN) students joined the Summer Overseas Attachment Program (SOAP) in Japan last June 1-10. The group was divided into three and attended classes in three different girls schools in Japan namely, Hakuho High School for Girls in Yokohama, and Joshi Gakuen Junior and Senior High School and Shinagawa Etoile Girls’ High School, both in Tokyo.

MC students attended classes on calligraphy, culinary, history, Nihongo, and dance. They also paid a courtesy visit at the Philippine embassy in Japan and met Second Secretary and Consul at the Cultural Division, Kristine Margaret Malang who is an MCHS alumna from Batch ‘96.

The students were chaperoned by Girlie Macapagal, Kathleen Girang, Marjorie Joyce Montalban, and Angeli Pablo-Villano.
