The Department of Psychology faculty members, headed by department chair, Dr. Grace B. Evangelista, were well-represented at the 55th PAP Annual Convention last September 20-22, 2018 held at PICC, Manila.

Dr. Ronaldo Motilla was one of the plenary speakers while Dr. Grace Evangelista and Joan Javier served as chairs of the Clinical and Developmental Psychology Divisions respectively.

Dr. Jerry J. Jurisprudencia, current PAP board of director, presented paper titled, “I Will Survive: The Phenomenon of Girlfriend Abuse”. He was also the moderator for two fora on Gender Violence and Child & Adolescent Development.

Dr. Paz Manaligod, former PAP board member, also participated in the convention and showed support for fellow MC faculty who were there.

This year’s theme was “Fostering a Psychology of Well-being for the Filipino.”
