Quality Assurance Office Head and Philosophy Department Associate Professor, Dr. Francis Julius Evangelista, and Psychology Department Associate Professor, Dr. Jerry Jurisprudencia, both received an award from the Center for Educational Measurement (CEM), recognizing their exemplary contribution in imparting their experience and expertise as CEM resource persons in its various programs and projects. This is the second award for Dr. Jurisprudencia.
The awarding was held during the Center’s 40th Anniversary Conference held at the Makati Shangri-La Manila on October 5, 2018.
Also recognized were the various units of Miriam College, namely, the Lower School, Middle School, High School, and Higher Education Unit, for their commitment to quality education through assessment and research in continuous partnership with CEM. The Lower School was also recognized for its outstanding performance in the CEM Achievement Test in English (Grade 2 Level) over a period of five years.
For 40 years, CEM has been providing testing services for the evaluation and assessment needs of both private and public sectors of education in the Philippines. It has more than 700 member-schools at present. The Center also holds instructional and advisory programs for teachers, guidance counselors, and school administrators to augment the school’s agenda for professional development.
