The first cohort of students of the Post Graduate Certificate in Designing Education (PGCERT) and Master of Arts in Designing Education (MADE) are set to start their program on January 26, 2019. The program was jointly developed by Miriam College and Goldsmiths University of London.

The cohort is composed of faculty members and school administrators who are practitioners in various fields and expertise and who are from both public and private universities and colleges in the Philippines. Most of the students are under the scholarship granted by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). They are scheduled to leave for the United Kingdom in April for their first study tour under the PGCERT program.

PGCERT provides learners with local and international experiences, adapts blended learning, and is supported by a strong student mentoring program with 60 credits of recognition towards a full British master’s degree.

The partnership with Goldsmiths University of London was spearheaded by the MC-Henry Sy, Sr. Innovation Center through the British Council and CHED's transnational education (TNE) program. TNE offers disciplines that are currently not available in the country.

Miriam is the only college among a roster of top Philippine universities selected for this UK-CHED linkage.
