Grade 4 students Malin Janna M. Vega (Master) and Jessica Claire R. Caputero (Junior Master), along with Grade 2 student Chloe Gabrielle E. Rivera (Junior Master), received their international honorary badges last February 2019. They earned these prestigious badges from competing in the Eye Level Math Olympiad (ELMO) on November 11, 2018 at Ateneo de Manila Grade School.
Organized by Eye Level, ELMO is a global test designed to challenge students’ math skills in a variety of areas such as numbers and operations, algebra, geometry, measurement, data analysis, reasoning, and problem solving. This international mathematics competition was participated in by different countries like the USA, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, India, UAE, Australia, New Zealand, Kuwait, Myanmar, Russia, China, Canada, United Kingdom, Greece, and Kazakhstan.
The students were trained by Maria Paz P. Montalvo, Subject Area supervisor for Mathematics.
