Twenty-four Dane students and two faculty members from Aarhus Business Academy of Denmark participated in a two-day lecture with the College of Business Entrepreneurship and Accountancy (CBEA) on March 22-23, 2019. This is the second time that representatives from the Danish school have visited Miriam College. The first one was in March 2018.
The participants gained perspectives on Local Business Law, Macro Economic Tendencies in the Philippine Context, and the Buying Behavior of the Filipinos. The lectures were delivered by Atty. Tina Bayhon-Garcia, Professor Leandro Estadilla, and Professor Oscar “Bob” Torres, respectively.
Other highlights of the two-day activity include a student-led Danish product sampling study participated in by selected CBEA students and a partnership meeting attended by Prof. Hans-Henrik Ebsen, Prof. Anja Bach Press, Dr. Antonio Lopez, Mildred Sevilla, and Dr. Gail Reyes-Galang. They discussed plans for next year’s visit and possibilities of bringing CBEA faculty and students to Denmark for a similar program.
These inbound and outbound programs are examples of initiatives towards greater internationalization. Through these exchanges, the school’s excellence is promoted and experienced by both our own students and those who come to MC.
Since MC has always been committed to providing quality education, these programs actualize its mission and vision to train women leaders in service, who are rooted in Asian traditions and yet, citizens of the world.
