This is also to inform the community that some of the donations that we have given to Alagang Kapatid Foundation, Inc., intended for the evacuees of Taal Volcano eruption were diverted. These were distributed to the needy sectors of our society who are further mired in a vulnerable condition because of the COVID crisis. Here’s an excerpt from the report submitted by the Manager for Communication and Resource Mobilization of AKFI Ms. Nancy David Galang. AKFI is one of the official beneficiaries of the social action activities of MIRIAM COLLEGE.
Alagang Kapatid Foundation Inc. recently reached out to frontliners and our kapatids out in the streets!
Doctors, Nurses, Allied Services, Security Guards and Janitors from Philippine Children’s Medical Center received face masks from Philex Mining Corporation and bath soap from Beiersdorf Philippines, Inc. (NIVEA Philippines). Meanwhile, street dwellers and those trying to earn a living during the Enhanced Community Quarantine were given water and biscuits from MIRIAM COLLEGE.
For Covid-19 response of Alagang Kapatid Foundation Inc. along with the other MVP CSR Council (Tulong Kapatid), Care Packages and hygiene items were distributed to some hospitals. Some of the hygiene kits were from MIRIAM COLLEGE, while some were from PLDT Smart Foundation.
As posted in Alagang Kapatid Facebook Page:
