To our dear Alumni, Parents, Students, Faculty, Staff, and Partners,
We are happy to share with you-- if you have not seen yet the press releases on our third campus in Alviera, Porac, Pampanga, last March—two birds’ eye-view photos showing the now-being-constructed structures in our newest campus.
Best described as the man-made architectural design blending with God’s design on nature, our campus reflects the Maryknoll vision on ecological integrity. The architectural design of Lor Calma and Associates won a prize from an award giving body in Europe.
As climate change becomes the focus of all activities now in global and corporate affairs, and as poverty is also seen now from the lens of being victims of climate change the cries for social and economic justice (another advocacy of MC) fused with climate justice get louder.
MC Alviera will thus focus on creation and innovation leading to sustainability and human development through its academic programs on Early Childhood Education, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Design in Creative Industries, Global Affairs and Humanitarian Diplomacy, Environmental Planning, and a masteral program on Education in Curriculum and Teaching with Specialization in 21st Century Learning.
MC Alviera will open its doors in September 2023 in the Higher Education or HEU (tertiary) unit. After a year, in 2024-2025, the Basic Education Units or BEU (elementary and junior high school) will start their operations.
Called the “campus of the creative generation”, MC will operate under the Unified Multi-campus System of Miriam College. Each campus—the parent campus in Loyola Heights (BEU to HEU), the Nuvali BEU campus, and the Alviera BEU-to-HEU campus,-- will carry out the Maryknoll/Miriam College vision of “making the Invisible visible” through the core values of Truth, Justice, Peace, and preserving the Integrity of Creation.
As a student-centered institution, Miriam College Alviera looks forward to working with parents in the Central Luzon region for the full development of their children in all aspects of their growth and well-being so that they will be able to participate fully in building our nation and in building the Kingdom of God on earth. Thank you.
“Love, tenderness, consideration, and thoughtfulness for others, that is what should characterize us.”
