Biography

Ella Cecilia Baarde graduated cum laude from the University of the Philippines College of Music, with a Bachelor of Music degree, Major in Voice in 1999. She was under the tutelage of Ms. Kitchy Molina. She has performed in operas like La Traviata, The Medium, Candide, and Romeo and Juliet, and in musicals like Les Miserables, West Side Story, South Pacific, and Ilustrado. She became a member of the Ateneo de Manila College Glee Club, UP Madrigal Singers, Philippine Chamber Choir, Auit Vocal Chamber Ensemble, San Miguel Master Chorale, and The Chamber Choir of Asia.

She represented the country in the World Youth Choir in 1998 which held concerts in Taiwan and the Philippines, and the Asian Youth Choir in 2002, which held performances in Niigata and Tokyo, Japan. At present, she sings with a vocal ensemble called the Bella Voce, and Koro Madrigal, which is composed of the alumni members of the UP Madrigal Singers.

She taught at Poveda Music Center, Philippine Montessori Center and the Asian Institute for Liturgy and Music and was vocal coach for X-Factor Philippines Boot Camp and Pfizer Chorale.
