Fred de Santos

Voice Teacher, Music Center

Biography

Frederick is an alumnus of the Philippine High School for the Arts and the University of the Philippines, College of Music, majoring in Voice as a Tenor.

He has been the featured soloist in a number of concerts of large choral works such as Mozart’s Requiem, Handel’s Messiah, and Carmina Burana, as well as the lead role in different productions like La Traviata, La Favorita, Madame Butterfly, Amahl and the Night Visitors, South Pacific, to name a few.

His skills were further developed while singing with the Philippine Madrigal Singers. Subsequently, he would then become a member of the esteemed, first and only professional choir in the Philippines, the former San Miguel Master Chorale.

Presently, he sings with the Koro Madrigal, alumni of the Philippine Madrigal Singers. The choir centers on conducting outreach programs in the form of workshops to amateur choirs all over the Philippines. He is also teaching voice in Miriam College and is the musical director to several choirs.
