Biography

Faith is a faculty member of the Miriam College Department of Psychology, teaching Psychological Assessment, Seminar in Psychometrics, Social Psychology, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, and Sikolohiyang Pilipino. She graduated in 2008 from the University of the Philippines in Diliman, with a degree of Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and is now completing her degree of Master of Arts in Psychology (with clinical track) in the same University. At present, she is working on her thesis on the effectiveness and efficacy of therapeutic songwriting as an adjunct intervention for adolescents with history of depression.

She has 12 years of solid experience as a psychometrician for different academic institutions. Her first stint was as a School Psychologist for Headway School for Giftedness, doing psychological assessments and providing counseling services to pre-K to Grade 7 level students with a variety of behavioral, socioemotional, and academic concerns. She was also an Assistant Psychologist in Ateneo Center for Psychological and Educational Services (ACESS) performing various functions in psychoeducational assessment, industrial testing for government/corporate clients and University faculty and staff, and admissions testing for the Ateneo graduate programs. Later, she worked at the Fr. Jaime C. Bulatao Center for Psychology Services (Bu Center) and the Ateneo de Manila High School Testing and Research Office doing similar tasks. At present, she is an on-call psychometrician at the AAAI Assessment Psychologists, Inc.

She has experience doing supervised expressive arts-based psychosocial intervention facilitation and has worked with groups and individuals from various normative (e.g., medical school students, corporate employees, development workers, etc.) and vulnerable populations (e.g., children and adolescents with history of abuse and neglect, convalescing soldiers, disaster survivors, children in conflict with the law, children with autism, etc.). She co-presented a paper documenting practice at the 11th International Expressive Arts Therapy Association Conference in Hong Kong in 2015.
During the pandemic, she volunteered as a psychosocial support services provider for UP Diliman Psychosocial Services (UPD PsycServ) and is currently devoting her time to Lunas Collective, a volunteer group that provides psychosocial support for individuals with experience of gender-based violence and those who need reproductive health assistance.
