Biography

Dr. Maria Lourdes Quisumbing-Baybay earned her PhD in Education (Research and Evaluation) from the University of the Philippines, Diliman, her MA in Family Life from Miriam College and her BA in Behavioral Sciences (magna cum laude) from St. Theresa’s College, Cebu. She has presented papers in both local and international conferences on values education, local knowledge, and digital learning. Dr. Baybay was College Dean (2004-2007), Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences (2007-2011) and Vice President for Academic Affairs (2016-2019) of Miriam College. Dr. Baybay is the founding Director (2011-2016) of the Asian University Digital Resource Network, a network of higher education institutions supporting local knowledge integration. She is an accreditor of the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU) for tertiary and graduate education levels. She is the National President of Asia Pacific Network for International Education and Values Education-Philippines.
