Biography

Dr Monica H. Walet, RPsy, MSPS, having completed a doctoral degree in Psychology at the University of Santo Tomas – Manila, has spent more than 20 years of productive career in clinical counselling, assessment, teaching and industrial-organizational consulting in various settings.  Dr Monica has occupied academic leadership positions in international and private colleges in Singapore and in the Philippines. She is currently teaching core modules in Psychology i.e., Cognitive Behavior Psychology, Developmental Psychological Assessment, Social Psychology, Industrial Psychology and Strategic Human Resource Management, in the undergraduate and graduate levels. 

As a mental health advocate and researcher, Dr Monica focuses on mindfulness, resilience, and personal advancement.  She is presently coordinating a study on the Filipino migrants in Korea, their well-being; and the effectiveness of interventions utilizing the principles and practices of Appreciative Inquiry, Appreciative Resilience, and Effective Coping.
