Biography

Yolande is an enthusiastic Swiss national and French teacher. When she arrived in the Philippines in 1994, Yolande observed that there was a demand for the French language —this is what motivated her to share her passion and love for her native language. She first gained her teaching experience as French Club Moderator in a school located in Antipolo, where she worked for six years.

Four years ago, Yolande began her teaching stint as a part-time French teacher for Miriam College Middle School. Besides this, she has also been teaching French to young learners at LLC for two years. In teaching, she is particularly meticulous about the students’ pronunciation. Therefore, she engages them through skits or role-playing activities, and short dialogues, to expose students to a practical method of learning French. Back in Switzerland, Yolande worked as a professional hairstylist. She practiced her profession and had her own salon here in Katipunan, but now devotes all her time to teaching. During her free time, she loves baking pastries with her two daughters.
