i-CODE CAMP

iCode Camp is a summer coding program intended for middle schoolers. This program aims to promote computer science to young learners and at the same time, enhance their logical skills. The basic concepts of coding will be introduced to students. Also, the Scratch programming language will be used to teach students to create interactive stories, animations, and games.

ADOBE ® PHOTOSHOP 101

Learn the basics of graphic design using the most powerful and popular graphic editing tool – Adobe Photoshop! Through this program, the participants can alter photos, enhance them by using filters, and express their imagination and ideas by creating images from scratch.

Twisted Fairy tale Camp: Engineering for Kids

Juniors: Ever wonder how we got to the Happily Ever After in traditional fairy tales? Students will explore a few fairy tales from different points of view and engage in activities to investigate solutions for each fairy tale’s obstacles. They will design a getaway vehicle for the heroine from Kate and the Beanstalk, help The Three Billy Goats Fluff devise a method to cross a bridge quietly, and construct a reef to protect The Three Little Fish from the Big Bad Shark!

Apprentice: During Twisted Fairy Tales Camp, students will explore a few fairy tales from different points of view and engage in activities to investigate solutions for each fairy tale’s obstacles. Students will explore several different areas of engineering skills. As environmental engineers, students will discover the coral reefs and food chain. They will use mechanical engineering skills to design and create different modes of transportation, such as getaway vehicle for the heroine Kate and a wagon for a princess. As civil engineers, student will construct bridge for the Billy Goats and a tower for Rapunzel. They will engage with engineering concepts using a hands on approach to help better understand the Engineering Design Process.
