Scholarships and Financial Aid

We are committed to making MC education affordable for students through scholarships and financial aid.
Below are options that are available for new students.


Honor Scholarship

The Top 5%  students of a graduating senior high school class 2020 with at least 100 students will be granted up to 100% discount on tuition fee. 

Submit the required documents on/before June 15, 2020 including the Certificate of Ranking issued by your school.

For applicants coming from the provinces, a living allowance of PhP 3,500/ month for 10 months will be provided. Midyear (summer) term is not included.



Academic Scholarship

This is awarded to incoming first year students with excellent academic records and performance regardless of their socio-economic status.

  • Passed the MCAT
  • Received a minimum admissions score of 4.20
  • Favorable recommendations from High School Guidance Counselor and Teacher

For applicants coming from the provinces, a living allowance of PhP 3,500/ month for 10 months will be provided. Midyear (summer) term is not included.



Financial Aid

This is open to all students with demonstrable financial need. Applicants should conform with the established criteria based on academic performance (admission score of at least 3.5), deportment, and demonstrable financial need.

Additional requirements for incoming students:
  1. Passed the MCAT
  2. Received a minimum admission score of at least 3.50

Recommendation for discount percentage is based on the results of the evaluation of the HEU Admissions Office:

  • 100% or 50% tuition fee, basic fee and laboratory fees
  • 100% or 50% tuition fee only
  • 25% tuition fee only

Note: Transferees may apply for financial aid after 1 year of residency.   



Athletic Scholarship

This is given to placers in the athletic try-outs for varsity players or athletes who are currently enrolled in Miriam College.


Recommendation for discount percentage is based on the following requirements:

  • 100% Tuition Fee discount
    Given to student-athletes who receive special awards such as Most Valuable Player, member of the Mythical Selection, from the tournament organizers and anyone from among the champion team with the highest CQPA
  • 25% Tuition Fee Discount
    Given student-athletes who are selected as members of the Mythical Team
  • 25% Tuition Fee discount per semester
    Given to 3 student-athletes per team based on the following conditions: No failing grade in any of her enrolled subject, must maintain at least a CQPA of not lower than 3.0, should not have more than one (1) major offense, must regularly attend trainings and games, with established financial need and must be recommended by the head coach, endorsed by the Athletic Coordinator and approved by the Officer for Student Affairs.
  • 2-Unit discount
    Given to student-athletes who are part of the competing team

Admission Score

Admission Score is computed based on the MCAT score and High School Average.

In Miriam College, 5.0 is the highest possible grade and 1.0 is the lowest.
